This Cookie Policy explains how SkillSaajha uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and what choices you have. It is a companion to our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website owners.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. For simplicity, this Policy refers to all of these as "cookies".
Cookies are commonly categorised as:
- Strictly necessary: needed for the website to work, such as keeping you signed in.
- Preference: remember choices you have made, such as language or theme.
- Analytics: help understand how visitors use the site.
- Advertising and tracking: follow users across sites to show targeted advertising.
2. Cookies on the SkillSaajha Website
Our website at skillsaajha.com currently uses no cookies of any kind. The website is a static informational site and does not require sign-in, set analytics trackers, or place advertising tags.
If we add features in the future that require cookies, we will:
- Update this Cookie Policy with the full list of cookies, their purpose, and how long they last.
- For anything beyond strictly necessary cookies, display a cookie consent banner so you can accept or reject before the cookies are set.
- Honour your choice across visits.
3. Cookies in the SkillSaajha Mobile App
Mobile apps do not use cookies in the traditional sense, because they do not run inside a browser. The SkillSaajha app does, however, store a small amount of information on your device:
| Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication token | Keeps you signed in so you do not have to log in every time you open the app | Stored until you sign out or delete the app |
| Local preferences | Remembers things like your last-used filters in discovery, so the app feels smooth | Stored until you sign out, clear app data, or delete the app |
| Push notification token | Identifier issued by your operating system that lets us deliver push notifications to your device. Anonymous by itself. | Stored while notifications are enabled and you are signed in |
| Cached images | Photos and avatars are temporarily cached so the app loads faster | Cleared automatically over time or when you clear the app cache |
None of this information is shared with advertisers or used to track you across other apps.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We do not currently embed any third-party cookies, trackers, or pixels on our website. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hotjar, or any similar service on the website.
If you sign in using Google, you may receive cookies from Google on the sign-in page itself, which are governed by Google's own privacy and cookie policies.
5. How to Control Cookies
5.1 In Your Browser
Most browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies from the browser's settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
You can also block all cookies or only certain types. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent some websites from working.
5.2 In the Mobile App
To remove the small amount of stored data on your device, you can:
- Sign out of the app, which clears your authentication token
- Clear the app's storage from your device settings
- Uninstall the app, which removes all local data
5.3 Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal to websites. Because there is no widely agreed standard for how to respond to this signal, we do not currently treat it differently. However, since we do not perform any tracking on our website, this is not a practical concern.
6. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, new features, or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top will always show the most recent version. If we begin using analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required.
7. Contact Us
If you have any questions about our use of cookies or this Policy, please contact us at hello@skillsaajha.com.
